Naples, like most other towns and cities worldwide that attract significant numbers of visitors, has an open top city sightseeing bus operating on a hop-on hop-off basis. Buy a ticket that lasts 24-hours and you can hop-on and hop-off the buses at your leisure within that period.

City of Naples |
The first thing to underline perhaps is that the sightseeing bus only covers the centre of Naples, it doesn't go out to Pompeii or Mount Vesuvius.
There are 2 routes and you can use your ticket on both. There is an interchange for both routes at Piazza Municipio, a short walk from the ferry/cruise terminal. From this central terminus the buses radiate out.
There are 11 stops on the Art route - Line A (around the historic city centre centre of Naples) and 12 stops on the Views of the Gulf route (along the coast). Map of the routes.
Both routes are connected to Piazza Municipio and take approximately 75 minutes to complete a full circuit. You can download a free app and view an interactive map and track the position of the buses in real time. The buses have free Wi-Fi and have disabled access.
From April to October Line A buses start at 9.45am with the last bus at 5.15pm. In winter the first bus is at 9.30am and last at 4.15pm.
Line B buses start at 9.30am and end at 5.30pm from April to October and in winter 9.50am to 3.50pm. On certain dates in winter times are adapted on both routes and run slightly longer.
The Art route and Naples Bay route run broadly every 45 minutes to an hour.
There is a recorded commentary available on board through headsets in English, Chinese, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Russian.
All of the major sights in the City of Naples are visited including the Cathedral, National Archaeological Museum, Spaccanapoli area, The Duomo, Ovo and New Castles and the Museum and Monastery of San Martino.
A full list can be found by clicking through on the banner link below.
Tickets are valid for 24 hours from the time of first use. You can join the tour at any point and your ticket will be stamped with the start time.
The tickets do not include admission to any of the attractions.
There are concessions for children under 16 but not seniors.
